Despite the challenges with the intense heat at the beginning of the summer last year, we were very pleased with the quality of our production for 2023. The taste is delicious and the acidity levels extremely low reflecting the high quality of the oil. Sadly, as a reflection of the challenges with the climate, the quantity we received was lower than we would normally produce.
In fact, one of our restaurant customers was so keen to keep up his supply of our olive oil that he bought every drop of our 2023 harvest. As a result, we have sold out and are now focussing on producing a bumper crop for this year's harvest.
La Bandiera EVOO performed very well during award season last year. We were recently granted the Superior Taste Award by the International Taste Institute with the following feedback:
