Dipping into La Bandiera olive oil is one of life’s great pleasures. It has a gorgeous golden colour and the flavour is fruity and substantial. La Bandiera EVOO has won many prestigious awards since it launched in 2012; judges have described the oil as “a very bright, clear oil with marked fresh pungency of green olives” and “a good green nose with the sap of grass coming through, alive and full of brightness.”
The area and elements of Bolgheri combine to provide the perfect environment for the olive groves which are harvested each year to produce the estate’s exclusive label, premium extra virgin olive oil that is of the finest quality with low acidity.
The olives are harvested from the moraiolo, leccino and frantoio trees when they are just beginning to ripen in October in order to capture and preserve those characteristics so typical of olive oil from the region of Bolgheri – full-bodied with fruity and spicy aromas.
